Delivery Info

Dispatch Time

Orders are usually dispatched same day if received before 12 noon.  If received after 12 noon, then they will be dispatched the next working day.  Working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays when they will be dispatched on the next working day.  Customers will be sent an automated email to let them know when their order has been dispatched.  All orders are treated with urgency, but if you need something by a particular date or you are not sure if something will arrive on time, you have the option to upgrade to special delivery which is guaranteed next day by 1 pm.

Please note that we never deliver to PO Boxes either in UK or abroad or freight forwarding offices.

UK Standard Delivery

For Standard Delivery in the UK, we use Royal Mail First Class post.  The basic flat rate for Standard Delivery to cover postage, package and handling is currently £3.50 per order.  First Class post is estimated by Royal Mail to take between 1 and 3 working days although their delivery aim is stated to be next working day.  Parcels sent via Royal Mail Standard delivery are insured for up to £20.   For orders totalling over £45 net of postage, we offer free shipping to addresses within the UK.  Free shipping orders will be sent by First Class Signed For Delivery.

UK Signed For Delivery

UK customers can opt for First Class Signed For (insured up to £50) delivery which usually arrives next day but is not guaranteed to do so. A signature will be required upon receipt. The flat rate charge for First Class Signed For Delivery in the UK is £4.50 per small parcel.  You can opt for an upgrade to Signed For delivery at checkout.  Items are insured up to £50 in total.

UK Special Delivery

Customers may choose a Royal Mail next day service which is charged at a flat rate of £7.00 per order. However, Royal Mail makes an extra £3.00 charge if delivery is required on a Saturday.  Royal Mail does not deliver on Sundays or Bank Holidays. 

Special Delivery orders placed before 1 pm Monday to Friday are guaranteed to arrive the next working day before 1 pm and will require a signature upon receipt. If there is nobody available to sign, the Royal Mail will normally leave a card stating when you may collect the package from their office or offer alternative arrangements. If a package is returned to us because delivery was unsuccessful, the cost of re-sending the package will be borne by the customer (this applies to all delivery methods).

European Delivery

Delivery to most countries within Europe costs £8.40 per order using the Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed For service. A signature will be required upon delivery. For some of these countries, tracking is only provided up until the point the item leaves the UK. Royal Mail estimates delivery to be 3-5 working days for delivery to most European countries but we advise allowing 7 days especially if you need it for a special occasion.

We ship only to the following European countries at the present time:
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece,  Isle of Man, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

International Delivery outside Europe - USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand

For the above selected countries outside Europe, delivery will be charged at a flat rate of £9.00 per order.  There is no additional cost for multiple items. Orders will be sent by Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed For Delivery (registered post) which is a tracked and insured service (up to £50).  The exception is Canada where orders will be sent untracked and uninsured because we are unable to track parcels on Canada Post.   These orders are sent at the buyer's own risk and the postage will be £4.50 to reflect this.

Please allow 7-14 working days for delivery outside Europe.  Occasionally, parcels can take longer so please ensure you allow plenty of time when ordering.  When delays happen it is useful to  be able to track the parcel online but not all overseas postal services provide online tracking services.

Delivery Address

The authorised shipping address which you have registered with Paypal is the address we normally ship to. For fraud prevention purposes, it is really important that the address you have registered with PayPal is your current address and we cannot accept liability if this is not the case.

In order to qualify for PayPal seller fraud protection, the shipping address must be the same as the billing address. However, in order to be as helpful to our customers as possible, we will ship to a different address if there is a good reason to do so – for example if there is nobody at home to sign for the delivery and you wish it sent to your place of work.  Please note that the Royal Mail does not allow us to write messages to the postman on the outside of the package (e.g. leave with neighbour if not in).

For orders totalling £100 or over, our policy is to only deliver to the PayPal authorised shipping address.

We reserve the right to verify addresses through online means, or to contact you via email or phone, to check the details provided if anything seems unclear, or if we receive a warning from PayPal to do so.  This is in order to make every effort to ensure you receive your package safely and receive the very best customer service.  Fraud prevention helps us to keep our prices down.

Late or Lost Packages

We have quoted approximate delivery times above. If after these periods of time have elapsed and you have still not received your order, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to find out what might have happened by taking the matter up with the carrier. If the loss has been incurred as a result of wrong or out of date information provided by the buyer whether to ourselves or PayPal, we cannot accept responsibility for the loss or postage costs.

Royal Mail does not accept any responsibility for late delivery.  Lost packages may be claimed for only after a period of 25 working days have elapsed from the date the parcel should have arrived.

We also cannot accept responsibility for any incidental losses incurred due to late delivery which is due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather conditions or busy periods such as Christmas. Please order early allowing plenty of time for delivery (over and above the times stated) if the item is being purchased for a special occasion such as a birthday or wedding.
